[Opinions] Caroline/Karoline
WDYT?
My great grandmother was Karoline and although I loved her, I always found her name a little dull. Caroline was super popular for kids here some 10-15 years ago and honestly, I just found it boring. In Danish, we pronounce it as car-o-LEE-nuh
Until recently. I’m kinda finding myself drawn to it. Now I think it’s soft, vintage-y and I really like the nickname Caro.
But what do you think?

Love it! It's simply classic and beautiful. I prefer the 'C' spelling by a good margin and partial to the pronunciation of 'Care-o-line' but both are elegant. I plan on actually changing my middle name to this, if the opportunity ever presents itself. It's much nicer than my legal one which I wouldn't mind parting with. :S
Oh and I absolute adore Caro as a nickname. It's really great to see that someone else likes it as well. :)

It's nice!
I'm an American Caroline. We pronounce it much differently, so much so that it almost seems like a different name. I love the name with the English pronunciation, but I don't like it as much with the Danish pronunciation.
I love the nicknames Carrie and Callie. I like Calla too if isn't too much of a stretch. Despite the cute nn options, I do prefer the name in full.

It’s a classic name. It has gone through waves of popularity. 1909-1915, 1939-1942, 1958-1961, 1986-1996, 1997-2000, and 2010-2014. Looks like it’s due for another comeback.
