[Opinions] Elizabeth
My cousin has just had a baby girl and called her Elizabeth with the nickname Beth. Another cousins wife also had a baby girl a week ago and they named her Rebecca. Both are family names but WDYT?Hoping for

Both nice names, though also extremely overused and slightly dated. I prefer Elizabeth to Rebecca, even though I abhor Beth. It just sounds frumpy and unattractive to me. I would much rather use Bess.

They’re a little overused by especially Elizabeth feels like a classic that doesn’t really feel dated.

Im biased, cuz Elizabeth is my name, and a family one too :). You don't hear it on little girls often anymore, but it's a great name to have, despite how formal and common it is already. She can go by many nicknames for sure(like Beth). Rebecca is sweet, I like it more than Elizabeth, but I love it more as a middle name. Im not sure if I would see myself using it as a first, because its dated imo, I picture it as a mom name.

Fantastic choices. I am not a huge fan of Beth as a nickname, but its still good.

Good, classic, timeless, feminine names. Nothing new or outrageous, not super exciting either, but nice names nonetheless.

Elizabeth is beautiful, and Beth is one of the nicknames I prefer (though my favorite is Elle / Ellie).Rebecca is a decent name, but unfortunately it's being meme'd, hard, this generation. Especially if they call her Becky.

They’re both nice. But completely, over the top, boring and blah. Rebecca is slightly better, because I actually like the nickname Beck or Bex. Other than that, they’re just overused and boring. But nice! No terrible flaws or ugly sounds or anything.

Beth is my favorite nn for Elizabeth. I think it’s sophisticated and elegant with a cute nn for a smaller child

Elizabeth is a gorgeous name, one of my favorites. Beth is quite unexpected but not bad. Rebecca is nice.

My daughter is Elisabeth (the Danish spelling) so, naturally, I love it. :) She goes by Elisabeth.I also really like Rebecca. It’s a lovely name.

I love both! You almost never hear Rebecca on kids anymore so that makes me especially happy. I really love Elizabeth, though not Beth. Still, it's a nice, unexpected nickname.
