[Opinions] Rosmerta
Rosmerta was a deity in Britain during the time of the Celts. WDYT of it as a name now? Is it now too associated with Harry Potter?Hoping for

I really like it! I don't think it's too closely associated with Harry Potter, though I'm admittedly not a devotee of the franchise.

I immediately think of Harry Potter, but I was a superfan when I was younger and since she was a minor character, I'm sure most people wouldn't have that association. I also don't think it's a bad association anyways, and it's not one of the more iconic names from the series. As a name, it's a little dusty for my taste personally, but I think it's cool and would be a fresh take on some more popular Ros- names.

It's one of my favorite names.

Having never read Harry Potter, I’ve only heard of this name just now. It’s not really my style, but I guess Rosmerta is nice. It looks like it’s a cousin of Rosamund and Rosalind.

It's not in the same class as Hermione and Minerva - I don't think of it as a Harry Potter name specifically. It sounds quite nice, though who knows what the Celts made it sound like. I prefer Roswitha; similar but more familiar.

I think Rosmerta is a fine name. I have read and watched all the Harry Potter books and movies, but Rosmerta was a minor character, so I think only fans would make the association. The name reminds me of her, but I don't associate it with her. I think it's very enchanting and beautiful. Rosie is also a cute nickname.

I immediately think of Harry Potter, but that's not a bad thing. Rosmerta was a good character, even if she was minor. However, I don't think people who aren't big Harry Potter fans would think of it. Is she even in the movies? I can't remember. And I doubt someone who had just read through the books once would remember her. I think it's kind of a cool name.
