[Opinions] Grover
I can't help it, I really like Grover. No, I don't care that it's a Muppet, or a president. What do you think of it? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

My opinion is the exact polar opposite. I absolutely don't care for it- not just because of the strong associations but the name itself. For one reason or another, I just think it sounds...gross and just overall, unappealing. I fail to see it's attractiveness or charm-and this is coming from someone who usually gravitate towards names ending in -er. /:

It’s one of my absolute favourites and I just may end up using it if I ever have a boy and no I don’t care about the President or the muppet either.I went to high school with a guy called Elmo. He rocked it.

I can appreciate its vintage vibe but it’s just not for me.

It seems sweet. The muppet is a nice association to me and a happy one, but not so overwhelming that I think a kid couldn't own the name or that it doesn't work on an adult.

Don't like it

Well I don't see why a President should be a negative association anyway.LOL, my issue is that when my daughter was a toddler, she pronounced Grover, which she knew from The Sesame Street character, as "Gofu". That's all I can hear when I see Grover.

Sure, I think it's cute. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't think so if the very cute Muppet wasn't named Grover. It's just impossible to separate the lovable furry blue monster from the name.

I love this name! It's an older name without sounding stereotypically old, and it reminds me of nature. I loved this name so much as a kid, I gave it to my rabbit.

I kind of like it. It's very gentle and natural and reminds me of a grove or garden. I don't think of the muppet or president, but I do associate it with the satyr from Percy Jackson since I read those books as a kid. It's a good association. It could definitely grow on me more if I met a kid or someone I liked with the name.

Sorry, I still can’t get into it. Maybe for a dog.

Definitely a guilty pleasure name!

I like it. The Sesame Street association is unfortunate though. (Not saying I dislike Sesame Street, it was part of just about everyone's childhood, mine included.)

I love Grover! It is so handsome and it ages perfectly! I don't think either association is too much (like Elmo). Such a handsome name!

It’d be okay on the right person, but otherwise NO WAY
