How many Lydias have you known? I ask because I've only known one my whole life, back in high school, and she actually spelled it Lidia (first-generation Polish-American). Shame you haven't gotten on well with any.
That said, Lydia is a very elegant name in my view, while the middle D keeps the sound from being too soft and airy. I've played around with these combos in the past:
