I love this name so much at the moment! It’s old fashioned but I can see it working nowadays. What do you think of Mabel? And what sibling names and middle names would go with it?

I like it a lot, and I prefer May as a short form rather than an independent name, so that helps too.

I was at school with a Mabel Leigh: both were family names, and she went by Leigh, probably because there was already a Mabel sibling or cousin.

The other day it occurred to me that I also like Mavis.
