What do you think of the name Claude?

It has a slightly unattractive sound, so it’s not my type. For some reason, though, I very much like Claudine.
I like it, especially as a nn for Claudio.
doesn't do anything for me. It phonetically close to a Dutch word for testicle, which doesn't help..
I like it a lot. Gentle and stoic.
I like it. It reminds me of a very sure person.
I love it. It would be pretty weird for me to use as I have zero French heritage and an Irish last name, but I would love to meet a little Claude.
Perfect
Absolutely love it.

Not so long ago I would have probably written it off as an older man name. But I'm really starting to like it lately for some reason. One of my favorite old time movie stars was named Claude Rains, so it has a bit of old Hollywood glamour about it to add to the appeal.
Claude Rains!
I love Claude Rains! I never thought about this name until I watched one of his movies.

I am a huge fan of one syllable names for boys but not crazy for this one. I do love the name Claudia though.
Love!
It's unassumingly handsome.

It's nice for French speakers, not very appealing to me as an English speaker. I like Clyde and Claudia more.
My grandpa was Claude, named in 1911 by his mother who came to the US from France.
I believe he went by CJ in his youth, but my grandma called him Claude.
When I was little it made me think of a cloud.

I know it's a French male name, but Claude has never sounded masculine to me, at all. I put this down to me liking names like Audrey, Maude, and (of course) Claudia for girls, so the "aud" sound now leaves me with a feminine impression. So Claude, as a masculine name, seems very effeminate - even effete, almost. I'm actually imagining a French version of Uriah Heap.
So no, sorry, I don't like Claude.

I think it sounds really handsome. It reminds me of the hockey player Claude Giroux. The only thing that puts me off is the meaning.
It make me think of the word "clod", so I'm not a fan.
It's not very attractive sounding. At all.
My in-laws used to have a big fat orange cat named Claude, but it was actually Clawed. For a cat it's pretty funny.
