[Opinions] Wilma
I've come to love it. What do you think of the name Wilma? What middle names go with Wilma? So far I haven't found many combinations that I like, except for Wilma Frances.

It’s my sister in laws name and she is too young for it. Wilma and Wanda are awful sounding and awfully dated.

I adore Wilma. Spelled Vilma (same pronunciation in Danish), it’s actually reasonably popular here.

I don't love it but it's fine. Soft and vintage, like a cross between Emma and Willa. I wouldn't be surprised if it became more popular like Willa / Wilhelmina but I don't expect it to become as common in the UK and US as it is in Sweden.Combos:Wilma Adelaide
Wilma Josephine
Wilma Juniper
Wilma Jane
Wilma Rose
Wilma Therese
Wilma Imogen
Wilma Berenice

It's one of those very BtN-y names. I don't care for it, I don't like Willa either.

I'm afraid I can't see anything appealing about it. It feels heavy and clunky and morose. Willa is better, but it's not a favorite by any means.

I tend to love the older names. I have not been able to warm up to this one yet, though. It still feels really frumpy to me.

I'm really not a fan of the -lm- sound. Wilma, Selma, Alma... they all sound like something you would call your grandmother. Not her actual first name, but like a child who can't pronounce "grandma" so it comes out as "Wilma" so that's what she ends up being called. The only combo that's coming to mind right now is Wilma Jeanne.

I like it. It's one of those "so ugly it's cute" names, like Hilda, Emma and Abigail. However I prefer Ilma, it is a bit more elegant.Wilma Frances is nice, but it sounds very very old.Wilma Josephine

Wilma Madeleine
