WDYT of these names, for brothers? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

I like Edmund, Jasper has always seemed like a pet’s name to me, possibly because it’s the name of the dog in Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca.

They sound great as a sibset. I dislike Edmund but I love Jasper. Together they sound like an old, refined pair wearing vests and monocles.

They both sound like the evil, sniggering villain in a Victorian melodrama, so I suppose that means they go together well!

Well obviously I love Jasper, my Jasper will be 10 years old soon! Edmund is great too. It’s always been my fave Ed- name. I think they sound lovely for brothers, although I prefer the sound of Jasper and Edmund, in that order.

Love Edmund, tired of JasperI prefer Jasper as a middle name because, like Beatrix, it's become de rigueur for name enthusiasts to love it.

In one of my former lives as a children's librarian, I encountered a book, set in England, with a schoolboy character named Jasper, and the explanation was something like "There was always someone in the family called Jasper after a long-ago relative. It was nobody's fault." !! And that book must have dated from the 1970s.
