[Opinions] Simon
Today's name of the day is Simon. WDYT? (I double-checked this time to make sure this wasn't a duplicate.)I used to hate Simon. Really, I did - when I first got into names it was among my least favorite for a boy. The game "Simon Says" had a lot to do with it, as well as the character on Seventh Heaven (it has been so long since I watched an episode, but I remember finding him annoying). Now I like Silas, Simon, and Solomon - all names I used to dislike. Though I don't think Simon has ever made my Top 10, I've used him as a middle name a few times (e.g. Nathaniel Simon).***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381

I like Simon but not as much as I use to.

I'm slowly warming up to Simon. I'd always found it soapy and slippery, but now I can understand that some people find it elegant and distinguished, though I'm not there yet myself and might never be. But I no longer shudder.

I like it, but I can see why people don't. I think it sounds young and earthy. I started liking it when I read The Bone People (the character named Simon was very young and it made me and picture the name mainly on a younger kid. They also called him Haimona iirc).Random note: if I look at "Simon" too long I start getting confused at why it doesn't rhyme with "Timon" (although I think it does in some languages).
