[Opinions] Re: Annabella
in reply to a message by Uilos
I think it's a bit much.I love Annabel, it is sweet and simple. Annabelle is already too frilly for my tastes.Annabel to me is sweet and feminine in a nice way, like a bright summer's day, clean cotton. Annabelle is overly sweet, like a pink cake with cream and sugary sprinkles and marshmallows on top. Annabella is even sweeter and frillier, so sweet it makes you feel sick.No offense, it is my no means a bad name and I wouldn't mind meeting an Annabella. But it is just too much. The Portuguese Anabela seems less frilly but would also feel misspelled too many people. In general I feel like Annabelle, Isabella and other -belle/-bella names are already starting to become dated. I also find Bella so tired and unattractive as a nickname.
