[Opinions] Hadrian/Hadrien
What does everyone think of this name for a boy? love it but a lot of people think it sounds pretentious or snobbish. And which spelling do you prefer?

I like it, much fresher than Adrian. I can see how people might think it’s snobbish, though, even if it’s not Cicero or Caesar.

HateI'm sorry but I absolutely don't care for this name, not because I think it sounds pretentious or snobbish or what have you but because of it's appearance and overall sound. I MUCH prefer the more familiar 'Adrian' I think it's a significantly better, more nonsense name. And spelling wise, I prefer 'Hadrian' (Similiar to Adrian) if I absolutely HAD to choose between them.

I really like it. Not enough to use unless I had maybe 15 sons, but would love to see it around more! It’s a far more interesting alternative to Hayden and Adrian. Very handsome and strong without being preppy (? not quite the adj I’m after).

It does sound rather pompous, but it's much better than Adrian. I prefer the Hadrian spelling.

I love Adrian and would use it happily. Hadrian is all Wall to me, and the Roman initial H was silent, so I don't see the point of moving away from Adrian. As for Hadrien, if you use the French spelling then the H will be silent anyway, so once again, why bother?
