Don't like it
I like it in theory, but I would never use it.
It's a word that I've only heard used to describe the color of animals or a type of port wine.
That used to bother me. It doesn't anymore. I think I could like it. I prefer the sound to Dawn.

I think it's pretty. :)
It's so screamingly bimbo-self-chosen it's like it got spit right out of the name generator at Central casting and got rejected by every author and moviemaker for being too obvious.
Not fond of it. It reminds me of fawn, and I don’t like brown. I knew a Tahnee once (she was nice), pronounced more like tar-nee though not like tor-nee? The pronunciation guide confuses me sometimes!
I think it's just ugly!
Was a friend's dog"s name
I also knew someone with a dog named Tawny, who knocked up the bitch next door. She produced a puppy which they named Fawny.
Can't say I'm a fan. I don't like the way it sounds at all. It doesn't really call forth a pleasant mental picture either.
I find not just the name Tawny, but the actual word, impossible to say without a slight "twang" to my own voice that I don't find attractive. It's a half decent color, I guess, but I don't like the name at all.
That said (imo), Tawny is the only tolerable spelling of the name.
