WDYT?
I personally really like it.

I like it as well and have since I was a child. Sebastian is a very classic and charming name. Sophisticated and nonsensical as well. I can understand its gain in popularity. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if it ends up in the top 10's in a few years time. (:

It's ok
I’ve honestly never liked it much. I find it strange and really pretentious, like some parents wanted an uber-exotic name for their son just to show it off. For some reason, though, it’s slowly becoming the new Alexander. One thing I do like about are the Seb and Sebby nicknames.
I like it. I don’t love it (yet) but I could definitely see it grow on me. And Bastian is cute.

It's a handsome, stately name, but it's too popular for me.
I'm fascinated by the feminine Sebastiana.

I think it's really ugly, Always have. I was willing to let it grow on me, since it was so popular among "tasteful" BTNers, but it just never has. It's a gross ugly name.
I like it, it's a very popular name in my generation here and I doubt I'd use it since it feels a bit dated for me, but it's a good name.
I really like it, too. I enjoy the nickname Bash the most.
I do like it, but I’m just not a big fan of the nn Seb. Here in Australia, nns are pretty inevitable! I prefer it for a mn.
It’s okay. I knew someone named Sebastian and he hated all the nicknames like Seb and Sebbie.
In English, it feels like a pale, aristocratic, slightly pretentious kind of name, in my native language, it sounds more "trying to be posh but failing", or alternatively, the slavic version of a chav. It's alright, but not my cup of tea.

I can see why people might like this name. I suppose it's not bad on its own. Unfortunately, to me this appeal is largely obscured by Sebastian being the stereotypical chav name in Poland. "Seba" or "Sebix" became words for lower class, rowdy, typically racist and homophobic, young men. And the name itself isn't beautiful enough on its own merit for me to try and appreciate it. I only really like it with the nn Bastian.
Interesting! I’d say the U.K. equivalent is probably Wayne.
I didn’t know that about Sebastian in Poland. I know a Seba who fits that stereotype really well!
Haha, congrats on knowing a true "typical Seba". I just want to make it extra clear that obviously not all people called Seba fit this description. But it is a well established slang term.
I dont mind Sebastian but I hate all the nicknames that come with it like Sebby, Baz, Seb, Bass. The only one I can slightly tolerate is Bastian
I used to hate it because I thought it was really stuffy and pompous, but over the last decade or two, it's come into common use a lot more and it's changed my perception of it. And now it is one of my absolute favorites.
It's great for any age. It works in a variety of cultures. And it has some cool nick name ideas from Seb to Bas to Bastian to Basha to Sevas.
And Sebastian Stan being one of the most famous Sebastian's isn't hurting it in the eyes of the public right now. He's got no bad press and he's an Avenger.
