[Opinions] Re: Montserrat vs Montse
in reply to a message by Briz
I thought I liked Montserrat until I read the prn. on this site. The emphasis on RAT doesn't do anything for me.There's a character on a Netflix show whose name is Monse, pronounced like Montse, and I've watched the show so I'm familiar enough with it as a given name that I can see Montse as standing alone.

The "rat" is a little hard to get over, but I have heard it pronounced with a softer "t" sound or even more of an "ah" at the end.
