[Opinions] Gaia
I had to think a lot about Gaia recently.
I pronounce it GAH-ya. But GUY-a is fine too. How do you pronounce it?
Could it get more common?

In my accent, GAH-ya sounds just like GUY-a. The vowel sound in "guy" is shorter than if I aimed to say GAHy, but the name Gaia wouldn't come out sounding any different if I try to say GAH-ya versus just saying GUY-a. I say Gaia to rhyme with Maya and Kaia and Mariah.
I think it could get more common here (US), over 10-20 years. It's kind of like Freya and Maia. But not top 500, unless a person or a certain kind of character rises to fame with the name. I think people still associate it too much with the 'earth goddess' or 'Gaia hypothesis', and so it also has an expansive, hippie vibe, like Eartha or Dove.

Guy-ah. I think so.
I pronounce it as GIE-a. I think it could increase it popularity, since it's a mythological name and sounds similar to Maia/Maya, both of which are currently trendy features.
I love Gaia! I wouldn't be surprised if it rose in popularity.
I pronounce it like "GUY-a."

I say GUYa. And I suppose it could get common - no reason why not. And it could fit a superhero and get better known that way; for all I know, it already has!
I don't like it. The meaning gets in the way, though I admit it's better than Eartha.

I pronounce it GUY-a. I like it but it always seemed too big of a name for a person. But I also like obnoxiously long mythology and astronomy names, so what do I know.
It could get more common just based on the spelling. I guess. I'm terrible at predicting such things.

I see the prounciation and spelling issues. I've heard it pronounced which I don't like, gay a
