My mother's name is Lorraine Leanne. I think Lorraine has a pretty sound. I don't like it enough to want to use it but it's nice. She's sometimes called Lori and a few people called/call her Rainey, but in the family she's usually Lorraine.
It's definitely usable; I mean, freaking MABEL is considered usable and in style today!
