[Opinions] Re: Maisie
Maisie has been growing on me, in that I no longer hate it. It's gotten very popular these last few years, probably because of the actress from Game of Thrones. I know several couples who've had daughters within the last five years that have named them Maisie, including a cousin. I don't think I'll ever quite be a fan of cutesy nicknames as full names though. It feels informal at best, childish at worst. Not that I think everyone needs a super duper serious grownup name when they eventually, you know, grow up, but it just sounds unfinished to me. I do like it much more than Macy and its variants right now. I associate that name with mean girls, based on experience. Maisie is sweet, Macy is harsh.
