I don't know if it's a UK thing, but older people use the nickname "Dolly Daydream" for someone who seem like they are out of focus and not quite present. It's not said in a flattering way.
I think it seems vacuous and silly. Dream (as a word, not a name) is more powerful. Dr. King would never say "I have a daydream!"
