I like it. I like other names with those sounds, too.
If I imagine someone named Murdoch, the first image that comes to mind is an old man with a newsboy cap who probably smokes a pipe; maybe he's a fisherman or a lighthouse keeper.
Iris Murdoch wrote a book called The Sea, The Sea; also the mur part is similar to 'sea' in Gaelic (as in Murphy).
And one of the crew/sailors in the movie Titanic was called Mr. Murdoch.
Murdoch's sibling could be, um...
Fidelma, Niamh, Loveday, Gloria, Iris, Rowena, Grainne, Penelope, Jane, Tabitha, Clara
Lachlan, Duncan, Malachy, Sebastian, Fergus, James, Jesse, Conrad, Oscar, Cillian, Roger
