[Opinions] Boudicca
Replies
Boudicca isn’t my thing. It’s long and heavy and bumbling and clunky, and I dislike the "bood" part.
Besides, there aren’t any good nicknames: Boudie? Dicca? Diccy?
Boudicca Scheherazade is a mouthful of a mouthful. While I do kinda like Scheherazade, it doesn’t fit with Boudicca at all.

That's a lot of name.
The combo you posted, I mean. Scheherazade is a total GP of mine. (I quite like the nickname Zadie. I like Hera even more, which has been suggested; but Hera as a nickname for Scheherazade feels too contrived.) But it's too much with Boudicca.
As for Boudicca / Boudica... I'm still not 100% sure of the pronunciation. I thought it was BOW-di-kah for a long time, but then I kept hearing BOO-di-kah, and I don't think I like the beginning "oo" sound. Boadicea's pronunciation is even more confusing - I thought it was boh-di-SEE-uh, but it might also be boh-a-di-SEE-uh, five syllables? I don't even know, man.

I effing love it.
I like Boudicca. It's a lot together, though.
My cat's name
I adore it!
Boudicca Scheherazade is A LOT of name. I'd never put those two together because they're both so majestic and allusive -- they almost cancel each other out.

I like Boudicca but I couldn’t see myself using it in person. What would be her nickname? Boody? Dicca? The historical figure is amazing and I’ll keep it on my list, but I couldn’t do it.
