It makes me think of Myra Hindley, even though it has an n.

It's so old fashioned and redneck sounding that it does strike me as sort of funny. Like where's Myrna? Oh she done kilt a snake and now she's in the outhouse but she's fixin to make biscuits later, god bless her.

Its pretty

I had an aunt (well, great-aunt but I never called her that) named Myrna. She was my grandpa's sister-in-law, and really the glue that held that side of the family together. Sadly, she passed away a few years ago, and her funeral was the last time I saw my same-age cousin on that side (technically, second-cousin). Gatherings with that side were never really the same...

So for me, Myrna has the strong vibe of home, hospitality, and lots of loud Italian voices. But objectively it is very "dated" and I can see why it would be comical. (It's better than Myrtle, though.)

I don't really like it

It puzzles me. Usually I dislike names with an -er sound, like Merle (f) and Percy (m). But Myrna is the exception, and I don't know why. I'm not a great fan of it, and I'd never use it, but it's definitely OK.
