dont like it

I hate it less now than I used to. I can see that it's stylish in an austere, Brooklyn, monochromatic kind of way. It sounds like a moan, though. It's mournful. At the same time, it's kind of nasal and imagining it being said in a New Jersey or NY or Philly accent, well, it's not pretty.

There was a character in a book I read a long time ago with the double name Maude Caroline. I remember thinking that as far as double names go, this one wasn't so bad. It certainly isn't cutesy like Lily Grace or something.

How funny! My daughter just asked today if I had ever known someone named Maud! I told her no, but I knew a poem, "Come to the Garden, Maud".

I love Maude. I also like it spelled Maud.

I would definitely be surprised to meet a young Maude, but it has been growing on me lately. I am starting to see how this could be a spunky name instead of just an old lady name. My favorite on your list is Maude Leonora.

I do like Maude! But I haven't always. I probably would be surprised to meet a Maude in her teens or twenties. I think the name is making something of a comeback. But I'd expect that to be reflected in younger children. I'd use a longish middle name.

Maude Tequila is nice. I kinda think of the Maude Intimacy stuff (getmaude.com) but it is a really cool name. Out of your picks I like Azalea, Camila, Lupita, Cassiopeia, Renata, Leonora, Hera, Nedelya, Tova or Tovah, Tirzah, Tzvia, and Silvia.

I honestly prefer Mathilde.

Maude is a cute name, without being too cutesy. Maude Tiffany is actually astonishingly medieval (even more, Maud Tiffany), even though it seems kind of 70s on the surface.

When I saw this post, the combo Maude Amaryllis / Maud Amaryllis immediately popped into my head.

Maude Tiffany is way fun. I also like Lupita, Hera, and Tirzah with it.

It’s not popular here and never was so I’d be surprised to meet a Maud(e) no matter what age. I did once teach a lovely little girl called Amalia Maud and I really love that combo.
