Aura and Stuart met their freshman year of college. For months, they had a will-they-won’t-they style relationship going until one fateful night. They were at a party where their friends convinced them to drink, something neither of them really wanted to, since both were eighteen still and thus underaged. However, they both gave in eventually. Though their night didn’t end the way most people assumed, with the typical college shenanigans, they ended up falling asleep next to each other after staying up till nearly dawn chatting.
Since then, they’ve been going strong for almost four years and even stronger since they got engaged and then married this year. When Stuart proposed to Aura, they agreed to give each other a year after graduation to settle into post-grad life and to find jobs and financial security.
While on their honeymoon, Aura fell ill. She felt sick to her stomach and fatigued, so Stuart took her to the local urgent care. They came away with unexpected but fantastic news: Aura was pregnant! They hadn’t really discussed when they wanted to start growing their family and they’d only been intimate a handful of times. But they were both overjoyed, especially when, eight months later, they welcomed their son, Marcus Dinesh, named after his father and maternal grandfather.

It meant packing up their whole life and moving across the country with a child not even a full year yet, but Aura knew Stuart would give everything for this position, especially since it would cover the costs of her taking a year or so off to stay with Marcus.

She hadn’t lost the baby weight from Marcus like she had hoped she would, so she didn’t notice when she started to gain a little weight. One day while on her shift, she started cramping horribly and bleeding. They ended up running a few tests only to find out that she was having a miscarriage. She lost the baby that night, despite all of their efforts to save it.

With the magazine flourishing, Stuart got a huge promotion. It allowed the Lintons to buy their dream house, a lovely two-story house with four bedrooms, enough to give Marcus his own space with plenty of space to grow their family, something they hope to start trying for again soon.

With Marcus now five, Aura and Stuart decided to start trying to expand their family once again. However, the natural methods have seemed to slow down, so they decided to turn to adoption. They were quickly matched with a set of identical twin girls from South Korea. It took Marcus awhile to get used to having not one but two younger siblings, but once the initial shock and frustration passed, he quickly grew to love his little sisters.

When Stuart was fourteen years old, his mother unexpectedly had another child, with ten years between the baby and her second youngest. Now, that baby, a fifteen year old, has found themself kicked out of the house. Already on thin ice after coming out as bisexual, AJ’s final straw was telling their parents that they identified as nonbinary and had a girlfriend. When Mrs. Linton, a very traditional minded woman, heard this, she immediately decided that AJ was no longer her child.
Stuart couldn’t handle the thought of the baby of the family living on the streets, so he and Aura immediately took AJ in. That very same night, AJ’s girlfriend, Ilona Łaska, daughter of Polish Catholics, also found herself homeless. Aura and Stuart opened their hearts and their home to the sixteen year old as well, now thankful that they bought the bigger house when they did.

Aura’s lizard passed away shortly after the new year. It took the Lintons a bit before deciding to adopt another pet, but when they did, they quickly bonded with a shelter cat by the name of Ziva. Jae and Sung especially bonded with the kitty. More often than not, Ziva can be found curled up with one or the other of the twins, especially at night when everyone’s asleep.

After several years in the ER, Aura found herself exhausted. She loved being able to help those sick or in pain, but it began to take a toll on her. Stuart suggested that she look into a transfer to a different department. After much thought, she applied to start working in the maternity ward. If she can’t have any more babies herself, as would appear to be the case, she could at least help out those parents with newborns.

AJ graduated last year and Ilona the year before. Ilona chose to take a year off to work and save some money for college so when AJ started she could start at the same time. AJ chose to study education, having been greatly impacted by their teachers and wanting to pass that on to future generations. Ilona decided to study music, specifically voice, saying that music is what saved her in her darkest moments.
Still wishing to grow their family, Stuart and Aura decided to sell their two-story, four bedroom house, opting instead for a two-story house out in the country with five bedrooms and a large basement. AJ and Ilona have taken up residence in the basement, leaving the rest of the house open for the hopefully expanding Lintons.

Marcus one day announced to his parents that he wanted to be a farmer when he grew up, just like their neighbors. He fell in love with the neighbor's horse. When they suddenly had to sell, they offered him to the Lintons for a discounted price. Stuart and Aura couldn't say no.
AJ and Ilona also ended up getting a pet. The couple decided to go a little unconventional (like them!) and bought themselves a snake. He's a very friendly little guy that they named Zemo.

Stuart was banished to the basement with AJ and Ilona. Aura found out that he was cheating on her when she found a text from his pregnant girlfriend about the kid they already had together. She immediately filed for divorce but chose to be merciful and allow him to stay until he could find a place of his own.
Fortunately, that happened faster than Aura could have hoped. Stuart got himself an apartment and moved in his other family. Elissa and their son Royale immediately made themselves at home, even as Stuart started to distance himself from Aura, Marcus, Jae, and Sung.
Meanwhile, AJ and Ilona are still living with Aura, as they've got a good rapport with her. They also decided to add another snake to their basement dwelling. They named this one Ivor.

Shortly after Stuart moved out, Aura found herself a new job in a maternity ward in Yakima, Washington, which she quickly took. She just knew she needed to get out of that house and away from the man who hurt her so badly. Aura took Marcus and the twins with her and almost immediately after moving to Washington started dating again. Her new girlfriend is a woman named Aislinn Madigan. They currently live apart but if things go well, Aura and Aislinn hope to merge their families to make one big happy family.
Whereas Aura's life seems to be full of pain and sorrow, Stuart is rolling in joy and cash. Literally. He had the chance to go on one of the big, popular game shows... and won! He immediately took Elissa, Royale, and Juniper on vacation.
In the midst of all this upheaval, Ilona fell seriously ill. She caught pneumonia which quickly took over, since she had undiagnosed cancer. Within a matter of hours of checking in at the hospital, she was on her death bed. She didn't last the night.

After a year of dating, Aura and Aislinn decided that it was time to start merging their two families. Aislinn moved her three kids-- fourteen year old Bethan, eleven year old Riordan, and seven year old Finn-- into Aura's house. At first, both sets of kids had trouble settling in. Marcus suddenly had two other boys running around the house and Jae and Sung were no longer the youngest. But things eventually settled into a semblance of peace, as much as you can get with six kids running around.
Stuart and Elissa decided to get a pet for their family, since the only animals living at their house were AJ's two snakes and Lancelot the horse, left behind by Marcus when Aura moved the kids to Washington. They ended up buying a ferret that they named Ferris Bueller, after the cult classic film.
Soon after Ferris the ferret moved in, AJ and their snakes moved out. AJ had befriended an elderly gay woman living all by herself nearby. This woman had no family to speak of, so when she passed, she listed AJ as the inheritor of everything she owned, including her house. AJ is now the proud owner of a two-story, Victorian style house.

Aislinn has decided that she wants to move on from being just a psych social worker. She feels like she has more to offer these suffering people, so she has returned to school part time, this time to study law. She figures that once she has her degree and passes the exam, she can find a job representing in court the same kinds of people she currently helps as a social worker.
Stuart and Elissa recently welcomed twin boys right after they got married. Ocean and Greyson were born the day after the wedding, becoming the honeymoon instead of the trip they planned. Fortunately, Elissa's mother was planning to look after Royale and Juniper while they were away, which made the hospital trip a lot easier than having to juggle two little ones on top of going to the hospital.
AJ has finally started dating again. Their boyfriend, Leoncio, moved in with them since they own this big, beautiful house and they have no one but themself and their snakes. When Leoncio moved in, he brought along his cat, Custodio.

Right after Aura and Aislinn got married, they decided they wanted to try IVF to add to their family. Aura volunteered to be the one to carry the baby. However, the one-more-child plan turned into a four-more-children plan when all four took. They welcomed three girls and another boy.
Stuart and Elissa have always been proud parents, but they became even prouder when Royale came home from school one week with big news. He proudly proclaimed that he was receiving a big award at the end of the school year for being the reader in his class with the highest reading level.
AJ and Leoncio got engaged. AJ had mixed feelings at first, as they still considered Ilona the love of their life. However, Leoncio eventually convinced them to marry him. As an engagement present, he bought her another snake. AJ named it Lilliabetta after Ilona.

While on their honeymoon, Aura fell ill. She felt sick to her stomach and fatigued, so Stuart took her to the local urgent care. They came away with unexpected but fantastic news: Aura was pregnant! They hadn’t really discussed when they wanted to start growing their family and they’d only been intimate a handful of times. But they were both overjoyed, especially when, eight months later, they welcomed their son, Marcus Dinesh, named after his father and maternal grandfather.

When Stuart was fourteen years old, his mother unexpectedly had another child, with ten years between the baby and her second youngest. Now, that baby, a fifteen year old, has found themself kicked out of the house. Already on thin ice after coming out as bisexual, AJ’s final straw was telling their parents that they identified as nonbinary and had a girlfriend. When Mrs. Linton, a very traditional minded woman, heard this, she immediately decided that AJ was no longer her child.
Stuart couldn’t handle the thought of the baby of the family living on the streets, so he and Aura immediately took AJ in. That very same night, AJ’s girlfriend, Ilona Łaska, daughter of Polish Catholics, also found herself homeless. Aura and Stuart opened their hearts and their home to the sixteen year old as well, now thankful that they bought the bigger house when they did.

Aura’s lizard passed away shortly after the new year. It took the Lintons a bit before deciding to adopt another pet, but when they did, they quickly bonded with a shelter cat by the name of Ziva. Jae and Sung especially bonded with the kitty. More often than not, Ziva can be found curled up with one or the other of the twins, especially at night when everyone’s asleep.

Still wishing to grow their family, Stuart and Aura decided to sell their two-story, four bedroom house, opting instead for a two-story house out in the country with five bedrooms and a large basement. AJ and Ilona have taken up residence in the basement, leaving the rest of the house open for the hopefully expanding Lintons.

Shortly after Stuart moved out, Aura found herself a new job in a maternity ward in Yakima, Washington, which she quickly took. She just knew she needed to get out of that house and away from the man who hurt her so badly. Aura took Marcus and the twins with her and almost immediately after moving to Washington started dating again. Her new girlfriend is a woman named Aislinn Madigan. They currently live apart but if things go well, Aura and Aislinn hope to merge their families to make one big happy family.
Whereas Aura's life seems to be full of pain and sorrow, Stuart is rolling in joy and cash. Literally. He had the chance to go on one of the big, popular game shows... and won! He immediately took Elissa, Royale, and Juniper on vacation.
In the midst of all this upheaval, Ilona fell seriously ill. She caught pneumonia which quickly took over, since she had undiagnosed cancer. Within a matter of hours of checking in at the hospital, she was on her death bed. She didn't last the night.

After a year of dating, Aura and Aislinn decided that it was time to start merging their two families. Aislinn moved her three kids-- fourteen year old Bethan, eleven year old Riordan, and seven year old Finn-- into Aura's house. At first, both sets of kids had trouble settling in. Marcus suddenly had two other boys running around the house and Jae and Sung were no longer the youngest. But things eventually settled into a semblance of peace, as much as you can get with six kids running around.
Stuart and Elissa decided to get a pet for their family, since the only animals living at their house were AJ's two snakes and Lancelot the horse, left behind by Marcus when Aura moved the kids to Washington. They ended up buying a ferret that they named Ferris Bueller, after the cult classic film.
Soon after Ferris the ferret moved in, AJ and their snakes moved out. AJ had befriended an elderly gay woman living all by herself nearby. This woman had no family to speak of, so when she passed, she listed AJ as the inheritor of everything she owned, including her house. AJ is now the proud owner of a two-story, Victorian style house.

Aislinn has decided that she wants to move on from being just a psych social worker. Right after Aura and Aislinn got married, they decided they wanted to try IVF to add to their family. Aura volunteered to be the one to carry the baby. However, the one-more-child plan turned into a four-more-children plan when all four took. They welcomed three girls and another boy.
Stuart and Elissa have always been proud parents, but they became even prouder when Royale came home from school one week with big news. He proudly proclaimed that he was receiving a big award at the end of the school year for being the reader in his class with the highest reading level.
AJ and Leoncio got engaged. AJ had mixed feelings at first, as they still considered Ilona the love of their life. However, Leoncio eventually convinced them to marry him. As an engagement present, he bought her another snake. AJ named it Lilliabetta after Ilona.
