[Opinions] French Sisters
The other day I was reminiscing with a friend about a French exchange we both went on a couple of years ago, and she told me the slightly dramatic, very French names of her exchange partner and her three sisters:Anne-Célestine
Jeanne-Léonie & Marie-Domitille (twins)
Aude-CharlottePoor Aude-Charlotte - we couldn't help giggling every time we mentioned her because we weren't pronouncing it particularly Frenchly and so it came out as "Odd Charlotte" every time!"Do you not find it happens very often, that you are as gay as Garrick at dinner and then by supper-time you wonder why God made the world?"

Wow, those are certainly retro - but I do like them! I will admit, they’re a tad pretentious, but very elegant nonetheless. Anne-Célestine is my favorite.I feel like Aude-Charlotte would be better as Charlotte-Aude, though.

I'm not crazy about the hyphens.Anne-Célestine flows well and is nice. I like Jeanne and Marie. The others are not my style. Aude doesn't work well outside of France and I actually hate the name Charlotte.
