[Facts] Tyrone Alexander or Mia Esther
Hi everyone,
I just discovered these boards tonight. I liked what people had to say on other posts and so I thought I would ask for an opinion
for myself.
We are expecting in June and are considering Tyrone Alexander for a boy and Mia Esther for a girl. So, do you love them, hate
them? Does anyone see any potential problems with them?
Positive and negative feedback welcome!
Thanks

Hi Naomi,
Despite the Irish origin or the actor Tyrone Power of yore, "Tyrone" today has almost exclusive use as an African-American first name.
I raise that point only as information. If you like the name, use it!
Cheers,
Da.

Hi Naomi ! I have to say that I like Tyrone Alexander , it flows nicely. And I like Mia (would you pronounce it MEE-ah, or MY-ah?), but I'm not so sure about Esther , it sounds like an elderly ladies name to me, are you naming her after a family member? If that is the case, then it's a fine name, if not, why not try something else like Mia Rose , or Mia Michelle (I'm not crazy about the name Michelle , but it just flows nicely!) or....I don't know, I'll have to think about it! Good luck! :)

I would pronounce it Mia as MEE-ah. Mia is my mom's name and Esther is my MIL's name. I know Esther is somewhat of an "old
person's" name but I have known several young girls with it and it seems quite feminine.
Thanks for everyone's responses. I especially liked seeing the anagrams! I was kind of curious if there were any negative ones
so that is great! I will check out the other babyname board that was suggested. I have tried those types of boards before, but I
wanted to get some opinions that maybe weren't so 'hormonal', if you know what I mean.
Thanks everyone!

We be bizz-zee today!

You're welcome! :) Nah, no negative anagrams today. I'm in a hippy mood today! Wheeeee! :D
And "Her Evil Highness" is keeping Pavlos busy with more updating to his Anagram Names for Twins, Triplets, etc. list. Pavlos is none other than the notorious Paul Pan, author of that list, which you'll find on this site. ;)

Hi, Naomi! I'm really trying very hard to resist the urge to anagram those names. I doubt Pavlos will be as virtuous as I am. :)
A lot of people here don't take the typical "What do you think of this name for my baby?" question very seriously. :) Some will give you their opinions, though -- and they're good opinions.
However, if you want a whooooole *slew* of opinions on chosen baby names from other mommies and mommies-to-be, you might want to try this forum:

The postings are fast and furious over there, and scroll off the board generally by the end of each day. But you'll get lots of opinions (and suggestions) on baby names there. :)

As always I am tempted, pointy N-peaks and the throbbing A-tail! But Naomi seems O.K. so I better nor break her heart ;)
