These are the names of Mrs. Quimby and her younger sister from the 'Ramona' books. WDYT of the sibset Dorothy and Beatrice? Too old-fashioned, or would they fit in with the other kids, just fine?

They’re a nice set. A bit old-fashioned next to each other, but they’re definitely refreshing to hear.

Considering the books started to be written in the fifties, Dorothy and Beatrice definitely sound like young women of that era.
So yes, they do make a good pairing for sisters, but not young ones in the present day.
I like Dorothy well enough, but never liked Beatrice.

My Beatrice daughter has had no trouble at all :) I like Dorothy, and a distant cousin married one, so that'd be good too, though I'm not in touch with that side of the family and they're probably dead by now, she says cheerfully.
I'd far rather see Beatrice and Dorothy in a sibset than anything plus Ramona! And, the way the world is going, just about anything can be attached to a child and called a name, so a pair of actual real-life ones wouldn't twitch anyone's eyebrow.
