I'm kind of starting to like Ray for a girl, as a full name, as in "a ray of light or sunshine". I think it's nice. I will probably not use it but I like it. What do you think?

Ray seems all-boy to me. For a girl, I think Rae is miles better. This avoids a lifetime of spelling and explanation.

I think the spelling Ray is better for a boy, but Rae is great for a girl!

It's a common enough middle name for a girl, why not for a first?

I would only use Rae, I prefer a longer form Raelene Raewyn. I don't really like Rae as a standalone name for a girl

I think it's okay, but I definitely prefer the spelling Rae.
