Sounds like a made-up countryside name, which it kind of is. I don’t care for it.

Not like it

Pretty much a one-owner name, and who wants to be her? Pollyanna Rose is horribly appropriate! One odd thing: one always hears Pollyanna and never Pollyanne; but it's always Sallyanne and never (in my experience anyway) Sallyanna. Also Lizanne, Louanne etc.

Pollyanna at one time was synonymous with a goody two shoes type, because of the old Hayley Mills movie. I guess that is no longer a very strong association. But I'd have a hard time getting past that, probably.

Pollyanna was the name of a little girl in the Teeny room (1-2 years old) of a nursery I was in 17 years ago. I have seen the film as well and it’s a sticky sweet happy clappy film.I don’t mind the name but Pollyanna was frequently just called Polly and Rose is alright too just a very common middle name.Pollyanna Frances
Pollyanna Charlotte
Pollyanna Celeste
Pollyanna Mairead
Pollyanna Tesni

I want something common.

It's very twee. Pollyanna Rose even more so. I think just Polly is better. Or Polly Anna.

Twee?

Twee means "corny, kitschy"

Polly is a parrot name to me and it's hard to look past that xDOther than that I think of that old movie my mum likes (I'm not a fan of it personally)As a combo I think it's nice, but I wouldn't use it on a rl baby

Sounds like the type of name I would give to a fictional character.

Polly is kind of cute. But Pollyanna is gross. It was never really used much as a name till the book about Pollyanna got popular, and the character was so sickeningly sweet and optimistic that the name pretty quickly became a word for someone (male or female) who acted the same way.
So no, it's not a nice name to call someone.
