5/10I sort-of see the appeal here. I like the -wen suffix for Welsh names and this isn't an exception. Perhaps it's a little short for me? But then again, Ivy is a short name and I love that name. Maybe it's more to do with how pronounced each syllable is, "oh-wen" is very soft in both of it's syllables but "eye-vee" isn't so. But I am also known for liking "soft" masculine names like Casper, which also has two soft syllables. I'm unsure. I do sort-of like it so I'll give it a middle ground :)

7/10It's nice. I wouldn't see myself using it.

I don't see the appeal. It sounds oily and crumbly and wrinkly.

4/10It's handsome but so dull.

Nice, but too common: 7/10

I've always liked it. 8/10. I think it sounds kind of shy and innocent? That's a weird way of putting it, but it's like the quiet younger brother or Evan or Brendan.

Not the greatest name ever, but as long as it doesn't shorten to Owie (which I've heard ...) it's OK. Good for the sort of bespectacled office worker who'll never turn into Superman.

2Makes me think of “oven”.

6.5/10Owen is a nice solid name. There isn't anything wrong with it, but it doesn't spark my interest either. It is unexceptional like Evan or Ethan and blends in with the crowd. If I was tasked with naming a spy in the USA, I might pick Owen because it isn't boring enough to arouse suspicion or extraordinary enough that people remember meeting someone with that name.Edited to add: I would not want to be named Owen and lend or borrow money. Owing Owen would be bound to come up, but, in general, I don't think owe would come up or be an issue.

9.8/10It's one of my favorite names, but it's super high in popularity right now which is a bummer.

8/10I like it. It is blessedly not as overused as some others. Always a plus for me.

I've never gotten the appeal of Owen. It's fine, it just doesn't strike me as handsome or interesting or anything really.

I would never use it, but it’s ok. 5/10.
