I like the sound of it (provided if I'm even prounciating it completely right) but the appearance of it isn't exactly, well, pleasant and would likely be problematic in English speaking parts of the world. /:

I like it; Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau is a good advertisement! But it is tricky for people unfamiliar with the sounds of German, and for that reason I would prefer Dieter.

Very German.

I love middle names that can be used as surnames. Specially when there’re two.Good second middle name.

It's all right, but I prefer Diderich. Its French or gallicised form Didéric is even better. Extremely rare, but extremely classy!

Okay...for a German. Also like it for a dog.

I kind of like it!It's quite unique, and I love the idea of using it to honor Marlene Dietrich. The pronunciation might be a bit hard, but it's simultaneously edgy and vintage-cool. I don't think I'd use it for my child, maybe for a character? Definitely taking note!

It's very much in the surname category for me.

I don't really like it, I prefer Derek. Dietrich seems dated, and the pronunciation is a little difficult.
