[Opinions] America
I remember I was scrolling through tiktok one day and I saw a girl named America, and I thought it was really interesting. What do you guys think of the name America? What would you rate it on a scale from 1-10? (0 being awful.) I would love to hear.I honestly really don’t know what to say about this name. When I first heard it I thought it was terrible, but now I don’t care for it. Otherwise, what’s more American than naming your daughter America?"People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing all day." Rate my personal name list please :) https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/217493

I think the name would be a bit awkward if you lived in America, But apart from that i think it looks and sounds beautiful.

4.5/10America Ferrera is the only person I can think of with this name, and it works okay on her. It has a very first generation American vibe, which also isn't bad. However, in general, country and continent names seem over the top. Africa, Europe, China, Australia would come across as too much and possibly tacky. If it weren't tied to two continents and a country, then I do like the sound of it, and some of the possible meanings of Amerigo are good such as "industrious."

It's difficult to say something about it, whereas I can see it in combination with a Spanish LN best-like America Hernandez or America da Silva etc.
Overall I don't like that much, as little as the idea of using Africa, Germania, Russia.
Asia & Alaska seems an ok-name, China a GP of mine.
I am wondering, if an Australia or Novazealandia ... exists, worldwide seen.

There's a Marvel superhero named America Chavez and I guess she's cool. And there's always actress America Ferrera .I always liked the idea of a boy named America because there is that fictional journal serious called My Name Is America, but I don't know that it works really well on a real person. It sounds pretty over the top. Maybe a middle name if you're really set on it. 4/10

Deep in the minuses, I'm afraid.

4I'd probably like it if I could hear it as anything but grotesquely nationalistic. It has pleasant sounds, and the meaning is cool.

2/10I really don't like it, some country/continent names just don't work.
Although I think America Ferrera is the only one who can kind of pull it off.
