[Opinions] Astraea and Isis
What do you think of these names?(And the whole "Isis is unusable" argument is completely overexaggerated. I've met plenty of Isis' and absolutely no one assumes that they are connection to any criminal activities based off of their names - the thought of that is ridiculous.)

Astraea reminds me a little bit of striae, which is a shame because Astraea has a stellar meaning.Isis is all right, especially when pronounced the Dutch way (EE-sis).

I don't like either name, Astrid or Astra would be better, sounds too much like ashtray or Australia

Astraea is cute. I'm assuming it's pronounced as-TRAY-uh. The spelling weirds me out a bit, I don't the the 'ae'. Isis is so beautiful and elegant and I wish people didn't associate it with the terrorists.

I like both!
Isis has been a GP for a while now - it’s light and delicate and svelte and I can’t dislike any ancient mythology names.
I guess I’ll have to stick to Iris, though.Astraea is amazingly pretty. Beats Stella and Estella any day, though I might prefer the more down-to-earth Estelle.

Astra is better. And I don't like Isis.

Isis is usable and beautiful!Glad to see others agree. I thought all that was a bunch of propaganda anyway. So theatrical.Astraea is okay. It’s kind of like Ashtraya.

I've only met one Isis (and that was before ISIS) but I loved seeing it in real life. I wouldn't use it but I like it. Astraea is amazing, I like the sound and the look (I'm an "ae" fan anyway), and I love the celestial imagery.

My name is Isis!Well, my name is Isis, and growing up I didn’t really like my name for generally obvious reasons. Ever since I heard the story behind my name I actually started loving it a lot more now. My online friends know me as Ciara, and obviously real-life friends and family know me as Isis, or Isis Ciara. And I definitely agree that whole “Isis is unusable” argument is lowkey exaggerated. Growing up nobody ever really even made fun of me for my name, it was just something people knew me as. I grew up to love my name. I liked how I was 1/3 Nyla’s, Emma’s, or Olivia’s in my class. I can understand why somebody would think the name Isis is “unusable” but meh.Anyways, Astraea is a pretty name. I love how it means “Star”. But I don’t think I would ever use it 6.5/10.

Where do you live? (wondering because Nyla was never common in places I've lived or schools I've been to)

I live in New York City (Specifically Brooklyn) and surprisingly there were a lot of Nyla’s at my school. There were like, 3 in my class once. I met so many Nyla’s in my life it’s not even funny.
