[Opinions] 2 celeb BAs (Duggar BA)
Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo and her husband welcomed a daughter named Evangeline Jo, who's big sister is named Felicity Nicole. Jo honors her father who's middle name is Joseph. Her sister's middle name honors her mother. And Coco Rocha, a supermodel who's worked with Victoria's secret welcomed a little girl named Iley Ryn, joining Ioni James and Iver Eames

I like Evie and I like Angelina, so I've always wanted to like Evangeline, but I don't. I have some negative feelings toward the Evangelical movement which are unavoidable, and particularly relevant where the Duggars are concerned. I do think Evangeline and Felicity are lovely sisters and I like that even though their middle names are common they're family ones.Iley Ryn sounds cute to me, but that's it. Maybe too cutesy. I am not a fan of all the long I names. I hate that kind of themey naming.

Evangeline is nice and goes really well with Felicity. Not a fan at all of the middle names but they are honoring so it's okay.Rynn is okay but Ryn looks odd. Iley...sorry it just looks like they actually wanted a Riley but it has to start with an I to match...Ione is nice but Ioni looks weird and I dislike James on girls (is it a girl?). Iver is okay but James and Eames? Oh well. Still okay, I guess.

Oh Rynn looks much better, but I might be bias because I like Brynn. Its a much 'fuller' name than Ryn which appears to be a typo

Iley is stupid. I like Evangeline and Evangeline and Felicity are nice together, but Evangeline Vuolo is a bit too V and L heavy.

I'm going to be the opposite of most people on this board and say that I really dislike Evangeline and actually quite like Iley. Iley Ryn looks like it has some letters missing though, I'd prefer Isley Wren or something like it that looks a bit more complete. Ioni, Iver and Iley is a but much too.

Evangeline Jo is so top-heavy. It's like wearing your fanciest wedding gown, with rubber flip-flops that cost 98 cents from a kiosk at the beach.

That's actually very true!

Meh, I don’t really like Evangeline, it’s too long and just, doesn’t sound very pretty.
Iley is just weird, but the sound isn’t too bad.

I don't support the Duggars for their presumably ongoing attempts to normalize homophobia, and I do not and will not comment on their names and/or celebrate their lives, since they judge and condemn so many others'. Though it may be unintended, I also believe that posting about them in a celebratory or neutral manner on this board, which I believe is mostly enlightened and diverse, to be supportive of homophobia, and therefore insensitive.Moving on.Interesting letter I theme with the supermodel, though I wonder how the name is pronounced.

Wow, you do realise you’re on a names board right? Where we discuss names? And we are talking about a newborn baby who has just been named by her parents? Seemed like a bit of a heavy post there mate and judgemental of people who come here to discuss names. Don’t comment on the post if you don’t like the subject matter, but let’s not tell others who they are and are not allowed to comment on. Good day.

Also the OP may or may not know about their personal opinions. I might be a fan of Michael J Fox, but I know shit all about his personal life aside from his Parkinson's Disease. Jumping to conclusions a bit. Also the poster may not even know /who/ they are, and they might have just found them through a recent BA news article and clicked on it out of interest for the name. I certainly don't know who the hell they are and I'd hate for my comment to be read as "supportive" of homophobia just because I wanted to post my opinion on their names If they personally bothered you, all you need to do is either offhandedly mention it below the name opinions, or mention it as part of your reasoning for your opinions. :V

The Duggars in particular have a record of outstanding homophobia as many sources will attest, and because they make so much noise any time of of them have another baby, they have been obsessively celebrated on this forum for years. I, as a human being, don’t like to be reminded of their hateful, and moreover, extremist indoctrinations that promote intolerance just because they have a lot of babies. They aren’t even record-breakers, so I fail to see any relevance other than pointing out that they’re promoting their extreme political views—views which aim to damage other people’s lives that are different than their own. I hope that in future, posters on this board will bear it in mind, even though my expectation is that they will post about them just out of spite. Maybe choose love instead.Composer Ignaz Pleyel’s mother had thirty-nine children. Twenty more than the Duggars, I believe.

I'm not disputing that they're homophobic, it's just odd to suggest the poster is homophobic because they want to discuss their baby names on a name website. It's also odd to suggest the poster would be aware of their opinions because I am pretty sure that BA news articles don't tend to go into detail of a celebrity's controversial history, and anybody subscribed to news websites (most of us) might get this sort of article whether or not we're aware of who these people are. Also people are allowed to have "problematic faves" now I've not searched up these particular celebrities (singers? actors?), but trust me when I say that despite my undying love for Harry Potter, I am pretty fucking annoyed with JK right now and it's unlikely I'll ever like her again. But I'd still like to have HP conversations? I can't help it, I fell in love with magic and witches long before HP was a thing in my life, and HP fueled that passion and created friendships. A similar thing can be said about my mother and Michael Jackson. We have no idea why OP might (or might not) be following The Duggars, but it might be similar. I'm just pointing out that it seems rather hostile to suggest something like that when you could have expressed this opinion in another way.

I’m not blaming the original poster if they didn’t know, but if that was the case, hopefully I voiced the matter in a way that was educational to someone who may not know better.

Evangeline is pretty. Felicity & Evangeline sound nice together. Iley is an odd choice of surname as a first name. It doesn't look right with Ryn. Iley Ren or Wren might be a bit better.

The kids got the better end of the deal, shame about the mother's name lmao (Jinger?? is that the name of Father Christmas' missing reindeer?)Evangeline and Jo are not names I like but are fine. Felicity and Nicole are on the lower end of meh for me. Iley is interesting, but I can't say I love it. Don't hate it though. Ryn is nah from me, Ryan as a feminine name is... sure whatever, but Ryn does not look nice aesthetically. Ioni and Iver I have similar thoughts over. Love James, Eames is not something I like and I'm glad its the second name lol
