A brilliant name for a small rabbit.
It seems unapologetically billowy, like a fragrant branch smacking you in the face.
I used to dislike it, but today, I like it.

I love it. Much more exciting than Lila, which feels rather unsubstantial.

I like it, but the end is a little jarring. I say it to rhyme with hollyhock which is fine for a name, but I've also heard people say it with "ack" on the end and that's kinda ugly.
Right now I'm thinking it would be really cute on a cat, but could be a human too.

oh, I say it like "lack"...it'd seem a bit nicer if I said it like "luck" or "lawk"...
The flowers smell divine, but as a name I dislike the sound and look of it.
Dont like it at all
I named a doll Lilac when I was a kid, because I loved the colour.
But I don't think it's that great a name now. She'd be in a sea of Lily's, Lila's, Layla's, and as RoxStar said, it's not even that attractive a sound.
It could make an interesting middle name.
Veronica Lilac
Maria Lilac
Katrina Lilac
Miriam Lilac
Maya Lilac
Helena Lilac
Simone Lilac
but even those sound like paint colours or the name of a crayola crayon.

It's very dainty sounding, which isn't a bad thing, just fits a very specific type of girl.
I like the flowers, and I like the color and the scent.
But the word lilac is not very attractive to my ear. Lye lack.
