[Opinions] Tiago
What do you think of Tiago? Would you use it even if you don't identify with being from a Portuguese speaking country? I love the sounds of Diego and Tiago but I feel like Diego, at least, is too widely-recognised as a Spanish name for someone not at all connected with a Spanish speaking background (namely, me) to use. Does Tiago fall into this category as well? Just curious about what your thoughts are =)

No, I wouldn't use it. I do get the appeal, and I like the sound.

I like the sounds. I think it's cross culturally recognizable, which is why it'd work outside of a Portuguese speaking country, but it doesn't strike me as more mainstream English looking than Diego does.

I don't mind it, but I prefer Diego. I wouldn't use it if I weren't from that background. I just think it would sound odd.

I prefer the Brazilian spelling, Thiago

I like Tiago. I would definitely use any name I want to, even if I don't identify with the country it's from. I think it's cool, and if you like it, use it!
