Bobbi or Bobbie might be a better spelling choice

Adorable and perfect on a boy, but I hate it on a girl.

Never seen or heard it on a girl, and I hope my luck holds. It's not particularly wonderful on a man or boy!

Only as a nickname. It could work for Roberta, Barbara, or Robin & variants. I can't imagine an older professional with Bobby as a first name. I think Bobbi is kinda dumb... I guess it's charming in a retro way, but still. Just spell it Bobby, a random i doesn't make it look feminine.

It's kind of cute, but not spelled like that; the girl's version of it is Bobbi or Bobbie.

Big old nope. Bobby sounds ugly as it is for a guy. So definitely no for a girl. Even the spelling Bobbi is horrible.
Whether as a name on its own or as a nickname for Roberta, etc. I say no.
Plus it sounds outdated.

I went to high school with a girl named Bobbi. I think it works. It's spunky. She was a theatre nerd who was obsessed with acting, singing, and dancing, so that's what I imagine when I picture a Bobby. I prefer the Bobby spelling. Adding an -i to "feminize" names has always seemed odd to me.

Bobbi is waaaaay better on a girl than Bobby, which is a boy's name. Like Bobbi Ann Mason.

Oh, and it sort of reminds me of "boobies", yeah...not a good choice.

Nope. How about Roberta nickname Bobbi?
