It's one of my favorites and a serious contender if I ever have a daughter. I used to go to school with a (not so nice) Melina and another one I went to school with named her stillborn baby Melina. I think those are the only two associations I have with the name. I like Elina as well but I'm more likely to use Melina, and I also like Millie as a nickname.
I haven't really thought of combos, so no help there.
