Evie and Alda met when Alda brought one of her youth group kids into the food bank Evie worked at. Evie went out on a limb and asked Alda if she wanted to have dinner with her later. Alda shocked her with an affirmative response. At dinner, they talked about everything: how they ended up working at their current jobs, past relationships, parents and siblings. That one dinner sparked their entire relationship, resulting in marriage almost exactly two years later.
To celebrate their honeymoon, they took off on a month long trip, hitting all the fun spots along the Mediterranean coast. When they came back, they had an album full of pictures of them in half a dozen different swimsuits doing all the fun things the Mediterranean had to offer.

When Salyssa's parents found out that their daughter was living with her old youth pastor, they went to their church and complained. Though the church and most of the people in charge, were completely in line with Alda and her support for the LGBTQ+ members of their church community, the Andrellys insisted that Alda not be permitted to lead the youth group herself. Because of the pressure put on them by the Andrellys, the church leadership begrudgingly demoted Alda to an assistant youth pastor.
Salyssa, however, had been living her best life. Still studying acting and music, she started dating a young woman named Sonnet Hospod. She and Sonnet met when a mutual friend of their introduced them to each other. Sonnet was a bit reticent to start dating, afraid that College Girl Salyssa wouldn't like that she wasn't going to school, but Salyssa showed her that that didn't matter to her.

Evie and Alda decided to expand their family, having saved up for IVF. Alda offered her eggs and they used a sperm donor. It was a difficult pregnancy for Alda, but Evie was willing to wait on her wife hand and foot whenever she was available. A few weeks before Alda's due date, they welcomed their son, Mason, who looked exactly like his mother.
Salyssa and Sonnet moved in together and decided they wanted to get a pet. However, Sonnet was allergic to cats and dogs so they settled on something a little less traditional: a ferret. Since they adopted him on St. Patrick's day, they called him Paddy.

While on a trip with the youth group, Alda started them playing a game of soccer. The youth were incredibly competitive, pushing and shoving. Many ended up muddy and scratched, but Alda got the worst of it. One of the young men shoved her and as she fell, Alda heard her ankle snap. A trip to the ER later, her broken ankle was in a cast.
When Paddy tragically died of a mysterious illness, Salyssa begged Sonnet to get a dog. Sonnet eventually gave in, as long as they found a dog that was more or less hypoallergenic and she was able to stave off her allergies as best as possible. They eventually connected with a friend who was selling her dog, Princey, after being forced to move into an apartment that wouldn't allow Princey to move with her.

Since Mason turned two, Evie and Alda decided to add a new member to their family: a cat. They met an adorable ragdoll cat at the shelter that Mason fell in love with. They brought her home and decided to name her Raggedy Ann, Annie for short.
When Salyssa graduated and got a job as an elementary school music teacher, she and Sonnet started to have some trouble. Salyssa started talking about marriage and kids, but Sonnet hated the idea. She flat out told Salyssa that she didn't want kids. That was a dealbreaker for Salyssa. She and Sonnet agreed that they should end their relationship.

After saving up for the last three years, Alda and Evie finally had enough to do another round of IVF for baby #2... and #3 and #4. Alda thought the first pregnancy was tough, but expecting triplets made her second even worse. When they came early, as expected, they spent several weeks in the NICU before being allowed to come home.
Salyssa started dating a young man she met earlier in the year. Asa Inbar dropped by the school to pick up his younger sister and he and Salyssa started chatting. When his younger sister got impatient, they exchanged phone numbers. They went on their first date a week later and became official a few weeks after that.

As a bit of a joke Alda bought Evie a lottery ticket for her birthday. They were both incredibly shocked when Evie's number ended up winning them tens of thousands of dollars. They used the money to pay off all their medical debt from the triplets' stay in the NICU.
When Asa and Salyssa moved in together, Asa brought along his six year old sister, Ellie, who he had custody of after his parents' death. Ellie knowing Salyssa made the transition easier, though it was a little weird at first, since Ellie knew Salyssa as her teacher.

Once the triplets turned two, Evie suggested they try another round of IVF, this time with her as the egg donor. Alda graciously accepted her offer, citing two difficult pregnancies and her age as reasons that Evie would be the better choice. They ended up welcoming their third son.
Salyssa released her first single this year, a goal she had set for herself years ago. She'd worked on perfecting it for years, scrapping many, many ideas before landing on the final product. Since Asa made money using social media, he was able to help promote her single to its great success.

A major windstorm hit Waltham. It terrified Damian and Alice, who spent the entirety of the storm quivering under the covers with their mothers. It got especially scary when the power went out and they heard a loud crash as a tree fell onto their roof. Fortunately, it sustained only minor damage.
Asa hit a major milestone as a social media influencer, which meant that the money he made shot up substantially. It was enough to cover all the costs for the wedding and the honeymoon when he and Salyssa got married.

Evie ended up spending a few days at the hospital. She'd been having some serious stomach pains and when she went to the ER, they admitted her, saying that she had gallstones that were causing her to also suffer from pancreatitis. They ended up removing her gallbladder, which meant Evie was holed up in bed for a few days. The kids loved to sit with her and keep her company.
Asa and Salyssa decided to adopt and were almost immediately paired with a set of four siblings from Romania. The oldest was an eight year old girl, the youngest a one year old boy. When they brought them back to Waltham, Asa and Salyssa helped them pick out new names that they wanted to go by. The two oldest both continued to go by nicknames from their given names that they had gone by for their whole lives.

When Raggedy Ann died, the kids begged Evie and Alda to replace her. They all went to pick out a new one and fell in love with a Scottish fold cat named Angus. Mason especially connected with the cat.
When Salyssa's younger brother's girlfriend unexpectedly became pregnant, Salyssa and Asa offered to adopt the baby as their own. Salyssa's brother and his girlfriend gladly accepted their offer, knowing that Salyssa and Asa would offer their baby a good, healthy home.

Evie ended up catching a pretty severe case of pneumonia. She missed several weeks of school, even finding herself back at the hospital for close surveillance for a few days. Fortunately, she made a full recovery, but it took her a couple months before she felt like herself again.
Ellie and Alena teamed up to convince Asa and Salyssa to buy a horse, doing all kinds of research on how to take care of one and where a good place to store one would be. Asa and Salyssa finally had to give in and bought the girls a horse they called Prancer.

Alda got an amazing opportunity this year that Evie wouldn't let her pass up. She got offered a place as a youth pastor on a missionary trip to Bogota, Colombia. Evie quit her job at the food bank so that she could go with Alda, bringing their five kids with them.
Despite their already large family, Asa and Salyssa decided to grow their family using IVF and a surrogate, with Asa as the sperm donor. They wound up with quadruplets, three girls and a boy. Salyssa had never been so thankful for Asa's large income. It allowed them to buy a house big enough to fit all their children in addition to affording childcare.

Alda and Evie ended up adopting one of the young girls that Alda worked with on a regular basis. Joelys Poblete lost her parents when she no more than three. She got along great with the other Keo-Van Daele kids so Alda and Evie made her an official part of the family.
Somebody broke into the stables where Asa and Salyssa kept Prancer. Many of the horses, including Prancer, were taken or let loose. Ellie and Alena cried about it for hours when they found out.

That one dinner sparked their entire relationship, resulting in marriage almost exactly two years later.
To celebrate their honeymoon, they took off on a month long trip, hitting all the fun spots along the Mediterranean coast. When they came back, they had an album full of pictures of them in half a dozen different swimsuits doing all the fun things the Mediterranean had to offer.

When Salyssa's parents found out that their daughter was living with her old youth pastor, they went to their church and complained. Though the church and most of the people in charge, were completely in line with Alda and her support for the LGBTQ+ members of their church community, the Andrellys insisted that Alda not be permitted to lead the youth group herself. Because of the pressure put on them by the Andrellys, the church leadership begrudgingly demoted Alda to an assistant youth pastor.
Salyssa, however, had been living her best life. Still studying acting and music, she started dating a young woman named Sonnet Hospod. She and Sonnet met when a mutual friend of their introduced them to each other. Sonnet was a bit reticent to start dating, afraid that College Girl Salyssa wouldn't like that she wasn't going to school, but Salyssa showed her that that didn't matter to her.

Evie and Alda decided to expand their family, having saved up for IVF. Alda offered her eggs and they used a sperm donor. It was a difficult pregnancy for Alda, but Evie was willing to wait on her wife hand and foot whenever she was available. A few weeks before Alda's due date, they welcomed their son, Mason, who looked exactly like his mother.
Salyssa and Sonnet moved in together and decided they wanted to get a pet. However, Sonnet was allergic to cats and dogs so they settled on something a little less traditional: a ferret. Since they adopted him on St. Patrick's day, they called him Paddy.

While on a trip with the youth group, Alda started them playing a game of soccer. The youth were incredibly competitive, pushing and shoving. Many ended up muddy and scratched, but Alda got the worst of it. One of the young men shoved her and as she fell, Alda heard her ankle snap. A trip to the ER later, her broken ankle was in a cast.
When Paddy tragically died of a mysterious illness, Salyssa begged Sonnet to get a dog. Sonnet eventually gave in, as long as they found a dog that was more or less hypoallergenic and she was able to stave off her allergies as best as possible. They eventually connected with a friend who was selling her dog, Princey, after being forced to move into an apartment that wouldn't allow Princey to move with her.

She flat out told Salyssa that she didn't want kids. That was a dealbreaker for Salyssa. She and Sonnet agreed that they should end their relationship.

As a bit of a joke Alda bought Evie a lottery ticket for her birthday. They were both incredibly shocked when Evie's number ended up winning them tens of thousands of dollars. They used the money to pay off all their medical debt from the triplets' stay in the NICU.
When Asa and Salyssa moved in together, Asa brought along his six year old sister, Ellie, who he had custody of after his parents' death. Ellie knowing Salyssa made the transition easier, though it was a little weird at first, since Ellie knew Salyssa as her teacher.

Evie ended up spending a few days at the hospital. She'd been having some serious stomach pains and when she went to the ER, they admitted her, saying that she had gallstones that were causing her to also suffer from pancreatitis. They ended up removing her gallbladder, which meant Evie was holed up in bed for a few days. The kids loved to sit with her and keep her company.
Asa and Salyssa decided to adopt and were almost immediately paired with a set of four siblings from Romania. The oldest was an eight year old girl, the youngest a one year old boy. When they brought them back to Waltham, Asa and Salyssa helped them pick out new names that they wanted to go by. The two oldest both continued to go by nicknames from their given names that they had gone by for their whole lives.

Evie ended up catching a pretty severe case of pneumonia. She missed several weeks of school, even finding herself back at the hospital for close surveillance for a few days. Fortunately, she made a full recovery, but it took her a couple months before she felt like herself again.
Ellie and Alena teamed up to convince Asa and Salyssa to buy a horse, doing all kinds of research on how to take care of one and where a good place to store one would be. Asa and Salyssa finally had to give in and bought the girls a horse they called Prancer.

Alda got an amazing opportunity this year that Evie wouldn't let her pass up. She got offered a place as a youth pastor on a missionary trip to Bogota, Colombia. Evie quit her job at the food bank so that she could go with Alda, bringing their five kids with them.
Despite their already large family, Asa and Salyssa decided to grow their family using IVF and a surrogate, with Asa as the sperm donor. They wound up with quadruplets, three girls and a boy. Salyssa had never been so thankful for Asa's large income. It allowed them to buy a house big enough to fit all their children in addition to affording childcare.

Alda and Evie ended up adopting one of the young girls that Alda worked with on a regular basis. Joelys Poblete lost her parents when she no more than three. She got along great with the other Keo-Van Daele kids so Alda and Evie made her an official part of the family.
Somebody broke into the stables where Asa and Salyssa kept Prancer. Many of the horses, including Prancer, were taken or let loose. Ellie and Alena cried about it for hours when they found out.
