[Opinions] Eira
It means "snow" so I thought it would be a nice name for a winter baby. Do you like Eira?Do you know how it is correctly pronounced in Welsh?EYE-ra? AY-ra?

It can be pronounced both ways in Wales (it depends on the area you're from, if I'm understanding correctly), though AY-ra seems to be the more common pronunciation. I prefer EYE-ra, but I find it beautiful either way.

I've always found this name ugly and insubstantial.

I do love this name and its meaning, but I'm not sure which pronunciation is correct. I prefer EYE-ra.

We thought about it for our first daughter and would have pronounced it Ay-ra. I think I like it at first, but it has something about it that doesn't keep me. Maybe it's too vowely looking.

It's used in Sweden as well, and I like it well enough but I wouldn't use it. I know someone who's middle name is Eira.
