My name is Melinda Barefoot. I am the widow of the late William Tonnlie Barefoot, who passed away on December 4, 2015, at the age of 47. He lived in Dunn, North Carolina.
I know the story, or what I had been told by him, of the history behind his name. His father was in the military during World War 2, and was stationed overseas. He had a close buddie, that, from what I understood, was named Tonn Lee, and he named his youngest after him.
