Amelia because it's more common where I am (US)But I like both! I like Amelie, but it does seem very much more French to me so I wouldn't use it personally. They're pronounced so differently that I have trouble comparing them evenly. I feel like it might come down to if one leans toward liking the English or French forms of names in general. That said, it still feels very different than, say, comparing Sylvia and Sylvie because more of the sounds change.

I love them both, honestly. Both have been favorites. Amelie is a bit less popular, though a possible downside could be that it would be confused with Emily. Amelia is more common but won't be misspelled. I think that in conclusion Amelia gets my vote. But I love both! :)

I voted for Amelia, simply because it's English. I'd use Emily rather than either of them.

I prefer the look and the feeling of Amelie, but I go back and forth whether I like it when said out loud. I think I would still go with Amelie over Amelia though, but that also has to do with my French surname. Amelia is fine too.

Amélie only with an accent, when no accent is allowed I'd go with Amelia.
