[Opinions] Avanell
While visiting a cemetery over the holidays, I noticed a stone for Avanell. She was born in 1908. What do you think of the name?Other people buried in the cemetery include:
Mathias - b. 1832
Louisa - b. 1878
Julius - b. 1858
Myrthe - b. 1879
Theodore
Cecilie
Friedrich
Edna
Gustav
Katharina
Marlin
Malcolm
Orville

Sounds like a fantasy character. It’s ok.Marlin is not the best, too fishy, prefer Merlin. Myrthe is interesting.

pretty! (at first I pronounced it AH-vuh-nell with "a" like Adam not Ava and I didn't love it, but then I re-read it and when I said it like Ava + Nell, how I'm assuming it was supposed to be pronounced? and I liked it a lot better)for the others I really only like Mathias, Katharina, and Malcolm, and only mildly. Myrthe is interesting! Sort of like a mashup of Myrtle and a virtue/word name "mirth"? I hope the gravestone carver didn't misspell Myrtle! LOL.

I'm not sure how Avanell was pronounced, so your guess is as good as mine. I wondered about Myrthe too. It defintely looks like an H on the stone, so hopefully someone would have mentioned it if it was wrong.
