Continuing my family from last time.

Year 1: Tom has had aspirations of being a costume designer on a film set since he was 9 years old. However, when he is offered the opportunity to be in front of the camera for a movie, he loves it so much that he decides to completely switch job routes. The movie does so well that he is offered a job as a recurring supporting role in a TV show and he immediately accepts.

After a failed married apiece, they were fine with not getting married, but to adopt internationally, they have to be adopted for a year. After a courthouse marriage and their first anniversary, they end up adopting a 5 year old girl from Iceland named Freyja Katrín Jónsdóttir. She asks to keep Jón as a second middle name, and they agree to give her a hyphenated last name.

Year 12: Despite a disagreeable parting some 8 years ago, this year, when Tom and his family are in Philadelphia for a conference for a few weeks, Tom looks Robin up and reaches out to him. They have a polite conversation and agree to meet up at a restaurant, with their families in tow. Tom is shocked to see Robin as a father to 6 children, and Robin is equally shocked to see Tom with a child, because it's not something he'd have ever suspected of him. The two families enjoy meeting each other, and it's clear for all to see that for them, getting divorced was favorable, as they're both more happy now than they ever were together.
Other than that, Elena and Charlie both begin playing sports this year: for Elena, soccer, and for Charlie, volleyball. Elena turns out to be great at soccer and she's really pleased to have picked it up.
Shortly after the conference, Tom gets a role in a new film that causes the family to move to Beijing, China.

Year 15: For Elena's eighth grade trip, the entire grade gets a trip to D.C. Robin and Nate are both chaperones, because Elena goes to the school they work at, so the whole family ends up getting to take a fun trip to the nation's capital.
