[Opinions] Ronnie
Do you like Ronnie for a girl?
I thought with all the nickname names getting popular this could work. It remids me of Bonnie which is also cute.
So what do you think of
Ronnie
Veronica nn Ronnie
Roni (Hebrew, meaning "my joy, song")
For boys
Ron
Ronnie
Ronald nn Ron or Ronnie
Ronnie seems to be on the rise for boys in the UK.

I like Ronnie as a nickname for Frederonne.
Not for a girl, only as a nn for a boy
I prefer Vonnie as a nn to Veronica

I love Ronnie as the nickname for Veronica and Ronald, as suggested on its site here. I don't have any bad associations with it, so I have no problems with it. I also love the variant, Ronne.
Bonnie is no fave, but I have nothing against it, personally, and no bad associations with this one either, since there are a couple of amazing well-known people and characters with the name, whether real (Bonnie Parker excluded for obvious reasons) or fictional. It is cute, though.

It feels cheap on a girl, like an old-time gangster's moll. Veronica's such a pretty name to do that to.
On a boy it also sounds kind of cheap, but not like an old-time gangster, like the female Ronnie's boyfriend. It sounds more like a kid who is always getting detention at school or banned from the schoolbus for throwing things and getting in fights and mouthing off. The kind of kid that may or may not have quite a bit of jail time ahead of him.
Ron is a nice, friendly nn for the rather stiff Ronald.
