[Opinions] Re: Franklin
in reply to a message by DLB
This is yet another name I disliked until fairly recently. I'm kind of drawn to the old man, vintage vibe now for some reason. The only drawback is that Franklin Graham is the most well known bearer of the name and I thoroughly dislike him.

My first thought was of Franklin the turtle from the children’s book series.

I had to look up Franklin Graham. Had no idea who he is. There must be at least some people who think first of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, as I did.

FDR is definitely the better Franklin. I should have specified "living" Franklins. You may not be in the US? At any rate, you haven't missed much not knowing about Franklin Graham.

I also had to look up Franklin Graham! Yuck. Although my first association was Franklin the Turtle which I'm not sure is great either...Benjamin Franklin would be a nice namesake.
