Hi !!!
Diletta is increasing in popularity but it is not considered trendy. I've personally known just one Diletta in my life.
I think that it is an unusual but very poetic name. Its meaning is clear for everyone ("diletta" is quite a literarian term but it is still used).
It has a kind of upper-class vibe even if it is used by anyone.
A funny thing: in the Italian translation (and later dubbing) of "Gone With the Wind", Diletta was the "Italianization" of Bonnie (daughter of Scarlett). The names are not related obviously but I think that the aim was to choose a tender name as Bonnie means.
