[Opinions] Katharine (m)
What do you think of Katharine spelled this way? This name was part of a sibset in a book I read: Rosalind
Katharine & Jessica (twins) Thoughts?

I prefer Katrin(a), or just Katherine, to avoid any confusion.

It's ok, I prefer the e though

This used to be my favourite spelling, but I prefer Katherine now.

I prefer Katharine, and then Catherine.

I prefer Katherine or Kathryn. Its ok though, I'd rate it 7/10.

I think this is my preferred spelling for Katherine. At least, I seem to always check to see if that second "a" is there, and when it is I feel a strange sense of satisfaction. I have no idea why that is, or when that started. It seems like a slightly more elevated version of Katherine to me. If I had to use the name, I'd use this spelling for sure.

I'm partial to "Catharine", but Katharine has its charm. Jessica doesn't really fit in with Rosalind and Katharine IMO

It's my mum's spelling, so sentimentally I'm quite attached to it! On a practical level, though, I'd probably go for Katherine, because my mum's spent her whole life having it misspelled (including on her marriage certificate!)

I lean towards Katherine. But Katharine is fine. These days, Kathryn has become my favorite of all spellings.

I like it, my favorite spelling is Catherine for me personally but most spellings are all strong, and classy :)

This spelling always seems "wrong" to me, even though I know it is one of the variants of the name. That second "a" seems to point to a different pronunciation than the way you always hear the name pronounced. In other words with this spelling the usual KATH-ur-in pronunciation doesn't logically follow.

I don't really like it if it's pronounced Kath-ə-rin or Kath-rin like Katherine. The middle "e" in Katherine is easier to disappear, but when it's an "a" you almost have to say Kath-ah-rin with a mini emphasis. I like the "a" in names like Katharina, Katarina, etc. but if that letter is supposed to be nearly silent, it should really be an e.

I quite like the way Katharine Hepburn spelled her name - and seeing it spelled this way immediately makes me think of her. My real favorite spelling of this name is Katharyn, with Katharine coming in second (I like an A in the middle instead of an E).EDIT--I should clarify that I actually favor Katarina the most.

I think there are enough more common spellings, that this one is unnecessary and should be let go.
