In looking up Kailani, which I'm not familiar with, I see the pronunciation is different than what I expected. That is a strike against using it on a real-life child imo. It could make for a lifetime of corrections and having to spell out the name.

I like it. I checked the pronunciation because of the comment below and the site says the "lani" is pronounced "lanny"? Idk, I would definitely pronounce it lani (like lawn, not land).

It's nice but also kind of trendy due to all the different spellings and similar names (Kaylani, Kalani, Kai, Kaia etc.).I do like Kailani, Kalani (which I pronounce differently) and Kaia but I find them too trendy to actually use.

It's pretty. I might be saying it wrong (Kye-LAH-nee rhyme Armani).I read it as Hawaiian, but it also vaguely reminds me of a kiddie TV show from the 00s called "Ni Hao, Kai Lan," which introduced kids to Chinese language and had an animated girl named Kai Lan.
