I find it quite ugly, though I love the mythological figure!

It's ok. Witchy and artsy. I had an eccentric friend named Morrigan in high school. No nicknames for her, and she had to correct people when they called her Morgan (which was a lot)

I find it delightful. It’s witchy and earthy and strong.

This is nice and cute name for a girl.

Oh gosh I love it. I first came across this name in one of Anne Rice's witch novels that I read as a youngster, so it has a really delicious florid-trashy-lurid-spooky quality to it that I find very attractive. Morrigan is like an ugly necklace set with big juicy jewels that shine darkly. Also I feel a connection to this name because once, in my youth, a Turkish man tried to put a curse on me using the Morrigan, which was really quite an exciting episode in my life.

I find it unattractive. How would it shorten - to Morrie? Not the best.

I'd shorten it to Morgue because there's something wrong with me

Au contraire!
